i'd avoid any pre-2006 BMWs with an auto that isn't either low-mileage or recently rebuilt, so hopefully he's right about the rebuild... there's been quite a few nice e30's for sale lately around west mi-- i was eyeing this little guy for a week with the idea of having it just as a neato summer car http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/cto/5543158179.html

I can theoretically comfortably afford a recent model car in good shape. It's just a matter of what I should get and when I have time to look at cars.
