So me and a few friends are going to visit an abandoned dealership sometime this week
It's full of old junk like 911's and 914's and fiat 124's
and some american stuff here and there

--- Quote from: XR-7 on May 10, 2016, 11:26:45 AM ---I replaced my rear rotors right after I got the car so it would pass inspection. The front rotors aren't cut at all and there's still quite a bit of pad left. There is definitely something wrong with the bushings in the front calipers though. Whoever last pulled the calipers apart didn't lubricate them when putting them back on and the rubber bushings were shredded. Of course, those bushings weren't even supposed to come out in the first place, so I may need new calipers (I'm driving without the bushing in the right front caliper, but the thumping is no worse than before). And of course, these are really weird Buick calipers that come apart and detach in strange ways with special headed bolts, so new ones aren't cheap and may or may not fix the problem.

bushings? You mean the slide kits? You ought to be able to replace those individually.
Also what are the symptoms of your engine? Assuming it is a 3800 series II I might know exactly what's wrong with it.
XR-7:
It is the 3800. Doesn't wanna hold an idle at operating temperature. It can idle but usually needs help by way of manual engine activity (driving fast for a few minutes, holding a Rev at higher RPMs for a few minutes, etc). If it doesn't get that help or is left idling/off for too long, the revs will get so low that the engine just quits and dies.
I've already replaced the EGR valve, MAF sensor, IAC valve, and TPS. I've also cleaned and polished the throttle body, throttle plate, and the intake as far as I could reach into the engine.
