--- Quote from: Pastrey Crust on May 24, 2016, 07:19:32 PM ---Hey guys, I'm keeping my dad's truck next week while he's out of the country. Can anyone give me any help on how the forget do I park a pickup in a city? I've literally no clue where the "box" ends at and fearing that I'm wrecking the rear vehicle, I end up leaving a 5m distance from both vehicles and then backup normally. What can I use as reference to where the truck ends? It's easy when a wall is behind me because light reflects on the wall. --- End quote --- Just park like a normal car just longer. I've backed up trucks many times and it isn't hard after a few times but when you truly need a reference, just look at the light from the brake lights and use that to know how far away you are. This only really works when it's kinda dark though |

Without it, as in, parallel parking between cars, I have no clue whatsoever where the truck ends. |

Dang, turns out my plan to buy my uncle's Fiat Mille will not work, he still has to change a bunch of documentations that for some reason will be expensive to do, I also went there last month and I decided to see the car with more depth, turns out it's all rusty, so instead once I get the money I'll research more about the exact car I want, I've been thinking of getting a Ford Ka like this one. |

That would mean that insurance would pay out the amount needed to buy the same car of the same model year. It's entirely possible that they were able to get a good deal on one only one model year newer and didn't spend a penny. --- End quote --- I've got insurance against total destruction - the second highest tier of insurance available to me, the highest being insurance against all risks. My parents told me that if I ever crash something, it needs to burn up in flames, lol. |
