Need another faraway location to visit today, preferably within 200 miles of st louis. Thinking about going north or east this time, since I've been to Kansas City and Kentucky already. Was thinking Kirksville at first but no convenient way to get there besides routes and I've been to Chicago numerous times (plus that's pretty far). Thinking something along I-55 or I-70 though. |

I hit a deer today, I was going home from a family reunion and not a mile from the park a deer ran out and I hit it on an angle on the passenger side, they say don't steer for deer but if I hadn't it would've been inside the car with me, anyway im not that worried, just a smashed turn signal lens and a flattened fender. Good news is I made it home, the car was functionally undamaged. That and I have the turn signal module from my parts Camry but I need to go get a new fender, should be like 40$ at the pick n pull. ill get pics tomorrow, its dark out. Also on the same drive home (Zloff you should know where I'm talking about) I was getting off the highway onto Chicago drive and a Buick reagal went for a lane change without a signal to try and turn right onto Baldwin and was inches from sideswiping me, he didn't even look. I had to swerve over a lane to get out of the way, I was very close to having two flattened fenders in one drive. edit: I can start my car with a dime, that is what key security is |

Man some funny and interesting stuff happened today. First off, I was driving a girl to her eye doctor and was on the highway where the speed limit is 65mph. About 3/4 mile ahead, I could make out the distinct shape and color of a C7 Corvette. I made sure she knew that I wanted to chase that Corvette to look at it up close, but also told her I wasn't going to drive fast with her in the car. Anyway, the Corvette was fortunately driving pretty slow, so I caught up regardless. It was a bright red and black Z06 and I about melted driving next to it. The girl next to me noted that my arm hair was standing on end and I kept making weird noises. Later, I got the brilliant idea to see how long it would take me to loop the greater St. Louis area using the I-255/I-270 loop. Watching my odometer and the clock, it was a 73 mile drive and took 51 minutes. During that drive, a yellow Challenger SRT8 came after me easily surpassing 100mph. Sounded like a dream. He slowed down when he reached me and we stayed driving next to each other for over 20 miles. |
