kool kids klubkool kids klub im 16 right and my dad and I are gonna go looking for a car next month now i WANTED a 350z but like I feel as if the insurance would forget me thru the bellybutton. now should i be smart settle on like a nissan altima or civic or no ball get the 350z wait why am i asking here |
| Zloff:
get something old and cheap but proven to be reliable, like a 6th gen civic. if your dad is buying it for you or paying for part of it, ask if his contributions can just go into a savings account so you can spend that money on something nicer in the future. starting out with a car as sporty as a 350 could spoil you early on and/or get you in a crash sooner. you'll regret beating on and neglecting such a nice car after a year or two of ownership as well and yeah insurance would suck for you with anything like that my first car was a smashed-to-hell '98 sable ls, taken from my grandma who had grown too old to drive safely. its blue book value was $1200 at the time but it served me for a year and a half. it also left me stranded several times as well lmao, don't buy anything cheaper than 3k or pricier than 6k imho also, ended up selling that sable last week for $500, how swag |

An area of rust showed up on the door of my car. I need to get it off before it gets worse. It's just like a little streak right now and it's only on the paint. Suggestions? |
| Zloff:
i actually got around to finally getting rid of the 4 square centimeters of surface rust on my car over this past weekend. just use fine-grit sandpaper to remove the rust, clean on and around the area & dry it up, apply touch-up paint, wait half an hour and follow up with some clear coat i did a quick stuffty job but you don't even notice it unless the trunk is up and you're viewing it at the right angle also yeah i cleaned it 2 nights ago and it's already got dirty hard water stains again |
