FBI seized the website today. They also seized more than $3.6 million dollars in bitcoins.

The .onion network is getting forgeted up the ass with a rake, it seems.

I thought this was talking about that old MMO of the same name and was really loving confused.

Good job, DEA. Take away the only safe and reliable place people have to buy drugs. They're going to buy them anyway, so now their only option is some sketchy neighborhood dealer selling less safe and lower quality drugs.

where does a person go on the internet to join in on the "I told you so"those who ever thought the hidden dark web was the least bit anonymous. or that bit coins are really having anymore purpose then to middle man trade for illegal things lol

Question: Will this affect the bitcoin market in any way?

no they meant the real silk road that both the hidden website and the game took the name from.

Question: Will this affect the bitcoin market in any way?
yes, with all the coins circulating on SR that were seized when the FBI seized the site, i would think it would cause a dip in over all 'bitcoin trading',  especially since the site was one of the biggest bitcoin-using websites currently, or, previously, up.

i imagined this was a researchographic website of some sort or

no. most of the child researchs on the hidden web were tbusted recently.
silk road was the drug buying one.

these are why bit coins were made for.

silk road, drugs?

hmm what a shame
i-doser will probably get banned too

Question: Will this affect the bitcoin market in any way?

Yes. The reason they were so valuable is that they could anonymously purchase illegal substances.

Now that they can't do that I imagine their value is going to dip a bit.

are there people who actually thought the bitcoin creators just intended to be open free world, free separate economy? lol thats the story they told.

its just an anon middle currency for the illegal markets on hidden web.

slowly they are all getting busted, and bit coins are more useless each time.
