Yea ramp physics have been weird for a while. I love jumping from pine trees |

I love jumping from pine trees --- End quote --- Speaking of pine trees, here is what I've found so far: You can gain approximately: * 3.1 velocity from flat ground (does not stack) * 6.3 velocity from 25 degree ramps (7 times) * 9.2 velocity from 45 degree ramps (3 times) * 10.4 velocity from pine trees (2 times) * 11.6 velocity from 72 degree ramps (1 time) * N/A velocity from 80 degree ramps (N/A times) By times I mean if you boost that many times in a row, or at least hit the equivalent velocity of doing so, it resets your jump to the default height which removes the possibility of boosting. However, if you slow down enough before you hit the maximum number of boosts, you can still use them. It's a way to get a specific boost of velocity in a certain direction whenever you want based on the ramp you jump off of. |

Interesting stuff Have you tried chaining ramps? |

It doesn't change it right away all the time, which is most easily indicated by how high you're jumping, but it can change it to both a greater or a lesser power regardless. And the reason I'm doing all this is because I'm making a challenge based around it. It could be a neat server in general, but that way if someone completes every level then by then they'll have learned all about ramp mechanics, and would know how to do fun things like speed themselves up in DMs for surprise flanks or whatever. |
