Author Topic: fake kill bricks that float in water  (Read 2530 times)

our next update in blockland should include fake killed bricks that float in water.
Yessssssss

Small bricks should float, bigger bricks should sink.
i think we need a mod were when you fake kill a brick it floats in the water. smaller bricks would float while larger bricks would sink.

we need to completely redesign the system anyway, I really want to see buildings crumble down realisticly in portions instead of suddenly powdering up into each individual brick

Not only that, but when making my Mega Explosion series, I noticed a good percentage of bricks randomly get launched unrealistically.

even on max settings a lot of bricks just dissapear instead of fakekilling, really annoying

Along with making the physics actually do something, like providing cover for a DM, being able to be climbed, or impeding player movement.

another problem is that they are client sided and not server sided

considering the fact that every brick could hold up thousands of 64x64x64 bricks, it's safe to assume that all bricks are dense enough to sink in water
however I see no problem with improving brick physics in more valid ways

Yeah, some things in Blockland need to really be redone. (Especially the vehicle physics)

they need to redo blockland!!!

Imagine a complete remake of Blockland on a more current engine.
stuff would be crazy.

I like game upgrades.

Yeah, but then imagine the port/remake job of all the addons to the new engine...
Damn.
