It's a really complex system, don't expect anything interesting remotely soon, if ever. --- End quote --- |

But nobody on the wiki is working on a private server, the users there by and large don't have a clue as to how the game works. There is a small group of people who have been trying to make one, but even after all this time all they've managed to do is get a few steps into the login process. The game ran on many server programs all working together, was heavily tied into LEGO.com's account/ID services, and all the databases for missions, items, NPCs, etc were stored server-side, so they've got an incredible amount of work to do just for the basics of getting the game to run. Did I mention that the details of how all this stuff worked are still pretty much unknown? So that incredible amount of work they have to do is also a lot of guesswork. Don't get your hopes up for any form of private servers. |

Here's something I saw a while back, but it never got updated. http://legouniverse.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Bioniclejaller/LEGO_Universe_Private_Server_-_7/5/12 It appears to be a user trying to figure out how to start up their own server. Sadly, this never happened because he/she could not get past Step 5 of making it. That's kinda sad, because I had high hopes for this. |
