Streaming for a server function is never a good idea.

But why not? For instance
> I wanted to be able to play music on the server such that for each level there's a different song based on the chapter of the gamemode as well as a few other factors (weather, etc). I don't want to have the player download a whole library of the songs I can use. It's also nice to have enough songs at my disposal to not repeat them too much.
> I wanted to be able to have like voice chat / announcers on the server. I thought this would just be a cool idea to play with in general due to the nature of the gamemode and the way the whole betting system will work and such.

But you're failing to look at the toll it would take on server speed and the capability of being implemented.

Mr.Noßody:

Also, I would refuse to join your stream.
Besides, Ive seen a total of perhaps a handful of servers that use music effectively.

Syncing is a bad option because it drags everyone into the same song at the same time forcing all players to stick together. Either that or music placement would not make sense.
