An excellent question. If it used some system for detecting builds like you see on blockland.us, then maybe the detection.

I just hope you'll be able to specify roads and houses since I never use road bricks.

it would be much harder to figure out if a building was considered a 'house' where as a road can be clearly understood just based off of it's datablock
making both the server and the client require an addon is always the most efficient way

method one - updates based on road bricks
method two - host puts map image in .zip add-on
i want one or the other to be made (i would like the bottom the most though)
