and yes, blockland started as a boardgame, but that boardgame was from 1981. some spaces made you have to do minigames (generally building) and that's why there are "minigames" in blockland

You know what I hate the most?

Some Minecraft and Terraria fanboys in lower grades saying that Blockland sucks even though they never tried it. They always think that Blockland is a childish game because it includes loving LEGO.
