Steam hilariously adding 80~ hours to time played on non-recently played games

It says I played Mafia 2 for 18 hours, I only played it for less than 4 hours in total, weird.

it's not as drastic for me, it adds 7 hours at most.

any game i've played a minimal amount of time of now says its around 20 hours for each of them

Now it's decreasing my hours... it says that I played Serious Sam Classic: The Second Encounter for 12 hours, when I remember playing it for 75 - 80 hours.
