My dog will not stop hacking/coughing

He has been hacking and coughing for the last three nights, at first I thought he had something in his throat. When he kept on coughing for two days, something had to be wrong.

He is almost 9 years old and he has a thyroid problem, in case that has anything to do with this..

Is there any real treatment for this?


Last night he kept me up since 3 A.M. this is really becoming an issue.
