Why is it bad that someone wants some connections? Seriously. It's good to start off with friends.

By letting him be your friend is a way of being friendly. Now by adding him we are being polite and showing him there is not as much scum in this community as there really is. Also:

Atleast he should explain who he is, what are his interests, and what he basically does for a living on Blockland.
