A) A full song would take minutes to download off the server. Having even 10 would push server loading past most peoples patience.

B) Copyright issues. A full song can be ruled as theft.

Technical support is not an issue - distribution is; both legally and in terms of loading times.

You can make a song as long as you want and as big as you want (not with the default Music folder though, you have to manually create a datablock for it).
