One thing I hate about people talking about NSA is that nobody knows what the forget they're talking about.
What Snowden released was only the tip of the iceberg.
People horribly misinterpret that NSA can allow government to eavesdrop on every single phone conversation, skype call, email, google search. They really can't.
5 billion searches are made on google a day (and that's just google) and even more emails are sent throughout the internet. NSA with its employees of 30000 cannot possibly check all the emails.
What if they spot check?
The chance of the government finding your registration email for a research site is null. Don't worry.
I heard that they target specific people.
Yes, but they are not interested in 12 year olds.
