Before I get murdered for saying that it's not a choice-
I just meant that it's something I think people have control over, not so much something that we consciously choose.
The thing I mentioned was that Jason Collins, the basketball player, is an identical twin and gay. His twin is straight as can be with a wife and family, which pretty much shows that it's not genetic
Twins aren't test tube clones of each other, Mysteroo, get your facts straight.
I don't mind gay people, I don't think it's right, but I don't really mind if they are or not, it's their choice, they have human rights and choices.
It's not a choice though :P
I think its both genetic and something else. Some people are genetically gay, and some people are hormonal gay (eg. feminine gays). It's not a choice, and I honestly think it's nature's way of decreasing a birth rate of a species that can increase in birth fast (like humans.) I'm no scientist, but it makes sense for this mutation to happen in a species. Also, some studies have been shown that anti-bodies in the mother's womb sometime make the fetus more feminine. Sometimes, in the womb, a fetus doesn't produce enough testosterone to make the brain become loveually attracted to the opposite love.
The later is honestly what I think happens; Testosterone isn't produced enough due to genetics or due to some wacky thing like anti-bodies that destroy the hormone.
All I know I never chose to be attracted to boys, and you never chose to be attracted to the opposite gender.
It is believed that the Greek's did it avoid overpopulation.
I honestly agree with you. The Greek's still needed to you know, have love. Even if they weren't homoloveual, they still did brown town love with other men.
