Author Topic: So.. yeah, uh.. My dog is getting put down.  (Read 985 times)

My dad just took her there. I dont think she's gone yet. She's been here since before i was born, and she protected me when i came home from the hospital. I'm crying too much to say any more, so..
RIP MONA
2000 - 2013

That sucks. She's old but what was wrong with her exactly?

Is she being put down by her age or does she have a disease?

She had a tumor for awhile, and she could hardly breathe. They said something about a cancer, too. It's actually good she lasted this long, but i cant stand to see her suffer anymore. :(
she also wouldnt eat at all today, and she shook every time she tried to breathe.

I had a dog that lived 1998-2013.  My mom got her when I was 1 1/2 as a "replacement" for her first dog that lived 1982-1997.  In other words, I've never been without a dog my whole life.

I feel like this is the 5th topic about someone's dog being put down in the past month

OT: That always sucks, my pets are like my family :c

I had a dog we got back in 2003 who just turned adult. She was a pure bread golden retriever and we adored her. One of my dads friends had a male golden retriever who needed to mate, so she mated. We gave one of the pups (male) to my brothers coach.

Then, in 2011, the sweet princess died. (ours of course)

The guy now has a female dog who needs mating, and were thinking of using the coaches dog. If we get the chance, we will buy one of those dogs. Which will be Sallies (My dog) grandchild.

like dis if you cry evertim

I have a pure bred Golden Retriever too, also female.

Death is Death, Who gives a Damn?

Actually? I do. it's a shame what happened to your dog, I only hope for the best, If I could help you, I could.

What breed was Mona? Anyway, I hope you feel better about your loss. I know the feeling.
