Author Topic: how do i get rid of acne  (Read 2979 times)

I am getting a haircut in a few weeks, but I have to keep it long for now. Washing it  everyday should counter that for now. I also don't own enough pillow covers for that
be careful washing your hair every day, it'll make your hair get more oily faster as a result. if you do wash it every day, make sure your shampoo is a daily wash one otherwise it'll really mess up the oil levels rather than helping

and buy some more pillow covers then. i dont have acne anymore but when i did it was literally the biggest game changer for me.

that would be uncomfortable
No it isn't.
I do that myself, and it has reduced acne for me, though it's annoying waking up in the morning to find your towel awkwardly moved, it isn't really uncomfortable otherwise.

it was for me, that's why i just bought enough pillow slips to constantly change them

Does it help if it's a conditioner+shampoo?

Cut back on sugar and dairy, shave often. Apply handsoap or dish soap to the face and scrub deep into the pours of your skin. Rise in warm water. Make sure to get the ears(especially on the back), nose, and forehead. Also try and go outside more often and try to get 10 minutes of exposure of sunlight.

not sure because i dont use a conditioner

but if you're using an oily hair shampoo you need to be careful. they're really only meant for people who was their hair every couple of days. if you start using it every day, your hair will dry out and your scalp will go overdrive on oil production. i have oily hair and oily skin, which is why i had acne initially.

i use a shampoo for normal hair, but i wash every day. i dont use any product for my skin, but i wipe my face down with a face washer when i wake up, and when i go to bed. i change my pillow slip after one use on each side.

you won't get rid of it through heavy use of anything. there are heaps of factors at play here and if you throw out the balance of one, you're doing more harm than good.

that's a great way to inflame the skin

Man it's like a salon in here with knowledgeable staff and everything! Can I schedule an appointment?

I wash my face with facial soap and then put astringent on it to unclog pores.

It actually works really well, it got rid of a lot of my forehead acne marks and most of my entrepreneur les.

That is why I don't use it often. You could get that pink soap stuff for acne that they sell at target with the microbeads in it.

i would never use it

the dish soap especially would be horrible for your skin

Go to sleep with a fresh towel over your pillow.

This is seriously the best way to do it.

Alternatively you could wash your pillowcase every day, but that can be a hassle.

I've used dish soap just as hand soap and it's horrid. It irritates and starts flaking the skin.

Really? I've never had that problem, however when I used it as hand soap I usually had a ton of grease/tree sap on my hand at the same time.

Yeah I forgot to mention that will dry out your skin. Do it every so often.
