Author Topic: Blockland Autobiographies  (Read 4033 times)

just going to mention, this is not exactly the kind of thread that people will go through to read each individual person's post on the account of their own years leading up to blockland and so on. doesn't mean i wont make a fairly short one, though.

roblox was my #1 since i first began playing games without a disc on the computer. it was pretty much my entire childhood until i was 11 (2009). i was lost for a day or two, unable to find anything else to go for because my parents had restricted me from playing roblox because i was caught using the chat function to talk to other people (i kid you not). turns out there was another advertisement for a different block building game on this website called dan-ball. of course, this was blockland. i joined right after v8 if i recall, events were apparently new but i've known them to be in the game since i began playing so idk. but it's been an amazing four years so far and i'm sure it'll continue to be. i have plans to stick around here for as many years as i can, it's hard to imagine not being here, you're all just so cool as one collective bunch of hooligans.

I started back in 2007 or 2008, I cannot remember. Probably 2007. It was v.8 and my ID was 4669 and my name: Cca. I was born 5/5/95 and I was 12 years old.

Before Blockland the only other online game I played was Runescape. I thought it was cool because I enjoyed open world games and non linear story lines. In the Runescape ads I saw an ad for Roblox. I liked legos and Roblox meets that part for me. Also it's open world.

BUT!
I had a Mac OSX. Roblox doesnt work with Mac OSX. So I started searching around for lego games. Of course all the little kiddy games popped up from Lego.com or whatever. And then I saw "Blockland" I noticed it ran for Mac OSX and I quickly got the Demo.

After about a few days of the demo I showed my parents and I had to pay them money for the game... Im 12 years old and I dont have any income so I stole the money from my mom's purse and gave it to her xD (It worked!) I was a bad kid back then. Lol.

I was also a brat (Just check out my dramas...) I'd get into all kinds of stuff here on Blockland and I was really immature too because I believed that the internet hides who I really am.

I met my best friend (to this date still) here on Blockland. His name is A Guy: BLID 5018. I went to his server one time and it was just a regular standard server. He was 11 years old. He was pretending to be a genie. I told him to grant me 3 wishes.
(Remember back then I had a Mac OSX and a stuffty router, plus hosting was complicated due to port forwarding)
HE GRANTED ME 3 WISHES... I only remember wishing to be able to host my own servers some day, and a cookie. I also recall trying to cheat his system into giving me 4 wishes. Which almost worked but then he figured it out xD

And ever since then, A Guy and I have been best friends. A Guy was homeschooled and so was I. So we'd hang out all the time in BL durring school hours. We had a bunch of friends. Like so many friends that everyone was an admin xD. (Friendarchy system) I quickly established myself as his Co-host. A Guy played along and was cool with it.

Then A Guy started going to Public school for whatever reason and he left his server up all the time. Our friends still joined too. So I was basically hosting. Over time I started going mad with power. I wanted so badly to organize and assembly a unity in his server by the admins that I actually caused a local admin war within his server! xD amazingly A Guy missed out on the most of it...

There was my side and then there was the opposing side who didn't like me being the Dictatorial co-host. I was young and stupid and blinded by power that I forgot the main point of the game was to have fun. I won over time and eventually the opposing admins either accepted it or just stopped coming to the server.
~ I sometimes wish that I didn't win and I had gotten my ass kicked. That would have taught me a lesson.

BUT I didn't... And my ambition for power led me to the idea of "Why must I only control this server?" And I met a guy named... Bauklotz... Who gave me a deadly weapon for my battles. It was a trick though. He knew I was going to abuse his script and I did. I'm not going to talk about that, but I eventually got my key revoked.

After my key revoked my new ID was 26141. I calmed down on my ambition for power and stuff. I became Andrumanist (The belief of no negative feelings). I still had no reputation to keep me from doing stupid stuff though, but I was not as abusive as I was before. I was able to host my own servers too. I made them more democracy like. I'd let my admins and players vote on things they wanted. I still used a Friendarchy Administration System.

I started a Logic Gate team, this was before when the Logic Bricks that ThinkInvisible made. I custom made my Gates to be user friendly and I had a god team.

Later towards the end of my Logic Gate era ThinkInvisible joined my crew unofficially and shortly after that left us. We helped teach him about Logic Gates and their use. I come to find out later he made a Logic Brick mod. Oh well.

I started knifing after that. In 2010 I was first introduced to the knife at Seven's Cargo Knife TDM. It consisted of 3 teams and we all had a blast in my opinion. I took it a little more seriously though. Later after the Cargo map was Demon's Platform version of knifing... I loved it. One of the first (Maybe the first) platform knife map. I've been knifing ever since. There was no super official host like Cat123. All the knife TDM hosts were pretty temporary. I mean we'd get a few long term hosts, but nobody like Cat123. I started playing there. I still wasn't the most mature when I started playing there but I had really grown up since.

Over time I started getting new ideas about how to make administration better. Which I gathered all from Cat123's system. I know it's not the first server to do this but it's the first place I noticed it happening. The recommendation system. Where you recommend people to join the administration team. I loved it. I believed it was the least corrupted system to be used.

(A long time later)

I started getting in trouble for "Float Hacking" at some servers. I blame the fact that I had no reputation to keep so I did not feel the need to respect anything.

(More time passes)

I started attempting to get recommended at Cat123's server for admin. It took a very long time and... eventually I did get admin! I am never to abuse it. The administration system at Cat's is great. There's nothing to abuse anyways. It's a knife TDM so we have fun right? I had made a bunch of new friends and met tons of people!

My ambitions to help the community and administration didn't stop there either. I went onto other servers and managed to obtain a status of "Head Admin". I do this by offering my ideals that come from Cat's server to the host and they can choose whatever they want. But in most cases they say yes and I do my best to crush administration corruption within their servers. I have been working mainly at City RPGs as well. Those corrupted admins at City RPGs always grant themselves 43289389264 moneiz all the time. That's not what you should use admin for!

I recently started to learn Torque Script and I am currently trying to produce an economy game. (Note: I never even noticed Big Brother's Economy Game before hand. And it's not even close to his.) I plan on either trying to make a new City RPG mod with an economy and resources.

And that highlights it up to today.

<=====Short summery for lazy readers=====>
I was a richard/abusive admin back when I started. I got my ass kicked. I changed my ideas/ways. Now I help fight administration corruption on various servers.

bisjac battled many many beasts to earn his key.
he was deemed the loveiest beast of all.

I joined Blockland.
I am amazing.
The end.
omg get this published ^

i dont think mark lets him on the forums anymore  :cookieMonster:
bust my ass laughing

I learned about the game from my older brother. I never knew where he found the game, though.

played a lot of roblox
find out about bl through an ad sometime in 09
i was like "wtf stupid ripoff of roblox why would they let this ad on roblox!!"
then i tried the demo a few months later and thought it was pretty cool but not worth buying
come february next year i ask my mom if i can get the game and explicity remember having to finish some chronicles of narnia book for AR in exchange for blockland
was probably the only game i played for a week or two
ipodmemorizer's jail escape was goat

A Guy was homeschooled and so was I.

Lol me too.

Then A Guy went to public school for whatever reason

Me too again :/

Yeah, a lot of people probably have gone through the process.  Joining, playing, doing something terrible, rejoining, shape up, play again.

Wasn't even my town.  He was shot in Maryville, IL, about 40 miles from where I lived at the time.

One day when looking for videos (IDK) i stumbled upon a video name "Blockland meets Roblox". so i thought the game was pretty cool. So then i started watching more and more videos. But one day i found an ad to it, and i got the demo. Played it through v14(2010)-V19(2011). When I first started blockland, the first server i went to was Red_Guy's Unlimited Mining. Oh man did i have memories there. But i remember a guy gave me a tip to make a name so i wouldn't get made fun of. My first name was (st8terblock33). When i figured how to make a server, oh man i was excited. I remember my first "successful server" it was this really really bad race. When i discovered RTB i was like "omg this is cool". Heh I remember when there was no such thing as the friends list.

When i discovered the forums...oh god this is...just...painful

People started to hate me. But not Lt. Jamergaman. He was the one that made me mature. He made me a better admin. But the thing i liked about his system was you always started as moderator, and then you went to Admin, SA, and Co-host. But how i met him in a way that was weird, I was telling them to listen to the rules, even though i wasn't admin. Like 2 months ago i quit blockland for a while because it got boring. But i came back because i made a promise to Lt, and i quote "I won't quit blockland because i want to help you administrate your STW". And recently i haven't don't much :c.

Where's IcyGamma and his auto-bio when you need them?
