i've done a little digging, and the movie is as true to the source material as it is a parody.
by that i mean, it's an absolute parody. it takes itself so seriously it's hard to tell that it's making fun of itself.
from what i can tell, the people who made this have only made rpg related short films and youtube series.
This series is from the same group and it's actually pretty funny.

and they're loving the influx of viewers they're getting from jontron
