I lost power for 5 days after the worst of the storm was over.

After.

I can't believe that it's been a year. We went out of power for over a month. I live directly in the city and most boutiques and cafe's close to me shutdown because property damage was too much and FEMA decided to pay barely anything.

It was really windy and rainy here

Power was out for a day

Schools closed for 2 days and I was otherwise unaffected.  Living on a hill is so convenient.

Anyone else remember the mixture of wet shredded leaves, twigs, etc, that coated the ground? It has happened with all the storms I have had to go through.

My power was out for two or three days. My school was closed for four days, then a weekend, then my fall break for a week. So I had off of school for 15 days in total.

It was literally just nonstop rain and wind for me.  School cancelled for two days.

The wind and rain was so bad that it actually seeped through my windows and I live in a highrise.

my town got hit pretty hard, i live in NJ, right outside of NYC. It was a little scary, trees falling down, cars being stuck on the road, and the electric lines popping as they went down. luckily we had an entire week off, i got electricity back in a few days, then no HW for 2 weeks along with delayed openings for a week. sucks though, some people didn't have power until past thanksgiving.

I lost internet for a week

i almost died

My brother told me that when it was going on, he got out his toy lightsaber and dueled his friends

in a hurricane

No electricity for a week.

Being banned from blockland for the time of hurricane sandy.

Yeah, it was like small arms fire with the amount of explosions from transformers.

lol'd. Imagine if you shot BB guns or airsoft guns or something? Where would the bullets go...

Nothing much happened to me, except for the fact that I had a long break from school because of Sandy.
