This is possible and has been done before in v8 (or was it v7?) The mod was never released because it was extremely buggy. It basically spawned a static shape of each stud using math over bricks. I'm going to try and dig up the discussion for you. Studs were hid/shown depending on whether they were covered by other bricks. Etc. It's possible to do this properly. I would actually love to have a 3D stud option. I have a machine that can handle it. |

You absolutely cannot do 3D studs. |
