if you're going for LARGE, honestly mod terrain isn't the worst you can do

ModTer blocks can always be an option, you could also make all types of nice terrains with 6x6's.

i probably shoudn't give you advice because if i terrained a medieval thing i'd hit the limit in 5 64x64 plates
