The names of files you do not have in your blockland directory are not added to the database. If you tried to export every bit of data in the cache, the file names would look like this: "907d14fb3af2b0d4f18c2d46abe8a edce17367bd" and there would be no file extension, so you'd have to also parse each file to determine the file-type and sort them by extension, and even then, you'd still have no file name.

While you're in the server that has the add-on blockland stores the relation between the file name (used in the datablock) and the file hash (used in cache). Now just find where it stores that... and you can grab add-ons with a few clicks

private add ons become a problem when blackmail and stealing and money becomes involved, if you ask me

I think having mods fit for a specific server is fine, and if those aren't released, generally it's not a big deal. I personally would only do this if the mod(s) in question were of large enough scale and required non-intuitive or 'not particularly user-friendly' setup. Or if it was just a bad idea to release it.

As for private mods, I think they should only exist when they're not of sufficient quality or of potentially controversial nature, and so an open release doesn't make sense. Keeping it private just to make people jealous is stupid and childish.

Nowadays, I prefer releasing mods and try to comment code to make it understandable for others to learn, as that's how I learned.
