General Opinions on Personal add-ons?

Crystalwarrior:

I believe that personal add-ons that work really well with a specific server is a good thing. For instance, scripts like boss coins and titles on pecon's really should be kept unreleased since it's one of the little things that make the server more unique.
General all-purpose bricks that you actively use in your build, on the other hand, will get some people hyped up and really pissed off if they find out these bricks will only be ever used on that specific build. Elm's (phydeoux's) trees, for example. They really are useful for quite a lot of things, and seeing as we lack good tree bricks that are available for download, it will make a lot of people unhappy.
That's my views on the matter

"I don't have them so that makes me unhappy, HMPH"

Arekan:

Private add-ons are okay, to an extent.

If players really want the content from a server, they should be able to recieve the content, however the main files it takes to run said server should be kept private. Things like guns, bricks, all that should be released, but most other things should stay private.

It's certainly nice when people release content from their servers, but it shouldn't be required or expected of them.
