so how much have you actually made out of curiosity?
I think it depends. I don't think giving someone huge, gamebreaking benefits for donating is fair (like gamefandan's +100000 level boost) but vanity content or small benefits is fine imo. Or like a cash shop where you can unlock other things by using either an ingame currency or real money, but again nothing game-breaking.
why do you need to report all income?
For those curious about taxes on paypal revenue - paypal has a page dedicated to that subject detailing when you need to report your earnings. Greek is incorrect in his statement that any and all donations must be reported to the IRS.
Why not just visual things? See Pload's Prison Escape, for example.
Could you link to it, please? I searched but couldn't find it, and I'd like to read it myself before taking donations.

Are personal payments that I receive counted in the total that will be reported to the IRS?No. Personal payments that are not payments for the sale of goods or services will not be counted when determining if the IRS thresholds have been reached and will not be included on your Form 1099-K if you exceed the thresholds. However, all payments received for the sale of goods or services will be used to calculate the gross payment volume to be reported. PayPal monitors accounts to ensure that personal payments are not being used for sales of goods and services.
I'm fine with tezuni open with donations as long as he doesn't give donators an unfair advantage in his server.
A lot of money? 6 dollars a month through RTB?I support donations in all, but it's not a lot of money.
Im looking at making a donation system for extra features in my game. Which is the best donation system to use?
