Why does minecraft allow players to use pass versions, but on blockland it's bannable? Just general rules?

Executables were actually never allowed to be posted here...

it was simply for comparison, I realize it's not minecraft, I was just trying to understand if there was some difference in the way the game functions.

I think using old versions is ok occasionally, for the nostalgic value, but if it posts to the master server, that should be against the rules.

For example, I use current version 99 percent of the time, but occasionally my close friends and I load up v20 to go skiing, and we just connect to IP so it doesn't mess with the server list.

If that is still bad and I'm just dumb, I apologize.

There's an infinite number of fundamental differences between Blockland and Minecraft. You may as well have said "Tetris allows players to use past versions, why is it bannable on Blockland?"

forgive me for not using battletoads as opposed to minecraft or tetris then, I am so sorry.
The question, again, was not about similarities between the two, but why varying versions within the game would be harmful wherein my example, i.e. Minecraft, it's typically not.
