Heightmap to ModTer

Basically, what I'm looking for is something that will take a heightmap image (an image representing a terrain with different shades of gray representing different altitudes) and attempt to build it with modular terrain bricks. Obviously there would be some things lost in the translation given the limitations of modter, but I feel it could be very useful nonetheless.
