Apparentally all the buttons ending in i like Button1_i or whatever like any button that ends in i is the default button, is that how its supposed to be?

That's the "inactive" button state. The person that made the skin just didn't make a replacement for it. You won't notice it very much, as not many add-ons make use of it. (although you might notice when using Slayer)
You can probably make your own by taking one of the other buttons in the pack and making it grayscale or something.

i replace mine with the skins, but they end up looking like the default anyways?

EDIT: everytime the launcher runs it overwites the skins
EDIT2: im dumb, set it to read only, works fine
