SFM Box is shutting down, and for those who don't know, it was every SFM user's main (and only?) resource for scripts, rigs and maps for SFM as well as an alternative for models and textures

Quote from: Struczynski
Hello Everyone,

It deeply disappoints me to say that SFMBox is being shut down as of December 8th, and will be permanently deleted (all resources and records) on December 14th.

This decision did not come easy, since this website has helped so many people find resources. Unfortunately due to my busy life schedule, promised "regular updates" to the site started becoming more and more of a fantasy then reality. I didn't feel comfortable putting my name on a product which I wasn't 100% proud of.

Transferring ownership is also an impossibility, since the backend (powered by Wordpress and several plugins) is a design mess. Moderating & approving content is a huge challenge, and teaching moderators to do that would take more free time then I have. Likewise, I lack time in transferring server data to a new project leader.

You can still grab files from the site from here: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/bc9...0Master%20Root (This link will be active only until the 14th)

I truly am happy that the site helped out so many (if site statistics wasn't enough, all the e-mails I got was proof).

i cried tears of water

(on the video i mean)

why do you save every image as a gif? it ruins the quality so much.

I can understand if it were an animated image, but otherwise use something like png.

i'll keep that in mind for next time

Actually, you should use TGA when saving a poster, once your session finished rendering the frame (smoothing the AO, motion blur, DOF), you can then open the TGA in Paint.NET or Photoshop and save it as a PNG to upload to the image sharing site

If you don't save the poster as a TGA, the frame doesn't render i think

Also, the SFM Workshop now supports more than just models and sounds!
