ubuntu ethernet not working

I have recently installed ubuntu 13.10, but i can't connect to the internet. I'm using an ethernet connection, but when I try to connect it just loads for a while and then tells me im disconnected.

Go to a working windows computer, type "ipconfig /all" and report back with the addresses of your Default Gateway and your DNS Server (they might be the same).
