Can't play youtube videos

every time i go to a youtube video the video doesn't play, it just remains all black, however this doesn't occur on internet explorer.
how do i fix this?

doesn't fix the issue. my flash player is up to date and adblock isn't doing anything to it.

edit: some videos do play, mostly the educational channels im subbed to but none of the gaming channels work.
