How to make an item Saving/Loading system?

I want to make an item saving/loading system like you see in all the trench DMs. How?

Player persistence stores position, datablock, items, health, etc.

To create a save/load system you'll need event add-ons. See RTB.

you can use VCE to do this

there's also a mod i'm p sure exactly for this purpose on RTB
