Yes, on winecfg I make it require the library openal32, because Blockland uses that for sound, but I can't get it to work, and I've tried all options, but I still get no sound.

although it's not really hard to do, it provides some good pointers and nice explanations for unexperienced players

You shouldn't need to make it require any libraries, I never had to do that.
Are you using ALSA or PulseAudio?
