Suites

(the standard small suite, as it is before one buys any furnature)

(the standard medium suite, 225% larger in square area, and it actually has a view out the window)

You can check out a suite by talking to the manager:

You click on him and he'll either tell you that you already have a room, there's no suites available, or what your new room number is.

Then you go to the shop to buy parts and furnature for your new room:

They then appear in your brick inventory, and once you're back in your suite, you can place these normally.
Sometimes you'll buy a piece of furnature. It places like one brick, but really it's a prebuilt, preevented functioning piece of furnature.

The fireplace can be lit with the lighter. The bed can be slept in by clicking on it. (it clears effects/drunkeness) The chair is sat on.

You don't have a wrench to event things, but you can buy certain types of pre-evented furnature and appliances.
Current examples include a music brick (click it to change the song) a disco ball (has emitters and rgb lights) and a normal toggle light.

When you check out of your suite, your bricks will be cleared. But they will be saved.
So if you check into a suite, even if it's a different suite, your items and bricks will load just as they were saved.

The Bar. Currently sells beer you can get drunk off of, as well as small normal/reset and large potitions to change your size.

This is a keg in the building shop. Has 32 drinks. Once placed, anyone can take a drink from it by clicking on it.
Brick is removed when depleted. Great for parties.

The gamemodes queue room.

This is still kinda a WIP OP.
We've been testing publically thus far, but now that we've gotten the suites working well and a new build, I might do some more controlled tests.

Right now me and Dawn are on the server and the password is removed.
If you'd like to try out the suites system, be my guest, we'll even give you some money for testing and your work will be saved.

We can include parts of the new years that we want to later on.
Dawn stayed up all night making this espically for me though.

Anyway, you don't really join this server all that often anyway, but I guess I could give you admin.

how does this work?

also why did you put a line at the top of the op? I noticed it when I was deleting all that other stuff

May I have a suite? If I do, I'll make it look like a shabby drug dealers suite beautiful suite!

I really admire your building skill however I must say that the walls are just a little too bland for my liking, my suggestion would be to add a wedge brick in the corners.

how does this work?
It works well, actually.
No but say you check into a suite.
You get suite 3.
You build a few bricks in suite 3.
You check out.
There are no longer any bricks in suite 3.
You check in later that day.
You get suite 7.
The bricks you made in suite 3 are now in suite 7.
Someone else's bricks are probably now in suite 3.
Suites are assigned based on availability.

Well there was going to be an introduction above it.

Suites are free, it's everything else that costs money lol.
You could come on now and start building, and it'd be saved.

no, I understand that. I mean how does the saving and loading someone's bricks work?

So it works the same way as gmod tower

From the screenshots, everything looks so empty...

That's why it's called blockland tower.

It's a WIP still, keep in mind we only started building yesterday.
We'll shove more stuff, decorations and furnature in later.

When you check out of a suite, the bricks in the suite are saved to a file in:
config/server/blt/suites/<your blid here>.blt
Each brick get's one line
The datablock TAB relative position to the suites baseplate TAB angleid TAB color
Very little information is saved as you don't get wrenches, so most of the properties cannot yet be changed.
