Author Topic: I wish people would quit using autism as an insult or argument.  (Read 7087 times)

I find it mildly ironic that it is deemed acceptable to throw around 'monday' and 'cancer' regularly whereas 'autism' has suddenly become a massive taboo. Jesus Christ clean out your nappies, it's not even that bad of an insult - and this is coming from someone who has an autistic brother.
It's not "Taboo".
If it was this topic wouldn't exist. monday and friend and cancer and things are all offensive--- but they are not nearly used as much as autism.

lol they're used way more than autism

stop being offended by things and then you don't have to complain about them any more

oh, god forbid someone is offended by someone else's statement!

honestly, it's not a problem to me. As long as you aren't trying to convince me that autism in real life is aggressiveness and stupidity, use it all you want. Just wallow in your own filth, for god's sake. No need to stop someone from making a comment like that, you're only causing more trouble for all of us.

Just pay no mind. Seriously.

No no no guys

listen
guys
listen

It's NOT that THEY are OFFensive
it's because
its because

they're using the insult wrong!

damn, this autism insult is like cancer. spreading fast! soon enough it will be as bad as monday! only friends would use the insult then..

OPs brother reminds me of me. My ASD is very very minor though. Borderline.

i wish people would learn to get over themselves and not be overly sensitive babies
