Ctrl + Alt + Del Task Manager and screenshot of all processes.

wow are we still on the win8 hate bandwagon?
with good reason lmao.
maybe if you loving tried it first, you could actually like it.
i'd rather not contaminate my hdd with it.
Jesus forget I don't give a bag of richards what you think of Windows 8. If you don't like it, don't post, you dumb ape.
kill all unneeded processes, and if you don't know which you don't need, screenshot your taskmanager's processes tab.

May I know whats so bad about Windows 8?

May I know whats so bad about Windows 8?
its that damn start menu man
it ruins everything

May I know whats so bad about Windows 8?

the start menu and the fact that it almost constantly crashed when it first came out. it was still terrible before i put mint on my surface

its that damn start menu man
it ruins everything

They even brought that back in 8.1.

First it was the anti-Windows 8 bandwagon, now it's against people who are against Windows 8.

Try to kill those disgusting processes

They even brought that back in 8.1.
Last time I checked I thought they only brought back the start button. Not that is/was a problem, because there are free software out there that gives back the start menu and yet people still ride a dead bandwagon.

Oh man look at that beautiful manufacturer bloatware.

absolutely terrible ui that shouldn't even be there. sure i can use desktop mode, but that doesn't really excuse the fact that it's crap.
it's a microsoft product. secure boot / UEFI, EEE and AARD code can suck my richard.
it uses the cpu clock instead of an on board clock. over/under clocking your cpu changes how fast or slow the os clock runs and that's terrible.
everything about the app store. literally everything.

it's so bad it drove valve away from windows and they even joined the linux foundation. seriously.

on topic:
kill everything HP- related because it's bloatware.
keep the synaptics stuff because that's touchpad related.
kill spotify because i've had weird focus issues with it in the past.

Spotify is usually fine for me, however somewhere in that sea of process-ending it worked. Thanks, Block.

some people don't want to pay for a start button. yes, they did bring back the start BUTTON. not the menu, the button.

another thing is that windows 8.1 i hate personally is that it now heavily relies on secureboot. if you don't have that damn thing on (which i don't, personally) i get a pretty watermark on my desktop that says "secureboot not configured correctly." really, microsoft? i don't want to use secureboot at all and if i do turn it on (which i don't have it now since i downgraded to MBR + BIOS for my mobo) i spent hours getting rid of that damn watermark but no hope and went back to windows 7.

basically everything i said but with actual help, and i agree with it. just use spotify's web player, it's better IMO.

I installed windows 8 as an OEM on my originally windows-7 running machine, and I don't have any issues whatsoever. No start menu? Oh boo ho, get used to the charms menu and you can search again. You can also just right click on the 'start button' to get a dropdown with all the things the old start menu had (personally don't use this, just learned how to use the new ui instead). Now that I am accustomed to the new stuff, I can reap the benefits of having integrated Skydrive, synced settings across four different computers (actually impressed at how well this works), and overall improved performance.

Kaph is also full of it. The new task manager is far better, you can see measurements of not only Cpu and memory usage of every process, but disk usage and network utilization as well. There are literally no downsides.

Sorry for being completely off-topic, but I had to type this as Kaph just needs to get his head out of the ground. He falls under one of those 'me no like change' caveman people.

This is the first real issue I've had with it and I'd say its pretty minor. I quite like it.
