What happened to Singleplayer?

It doesn't seem that linking the game to steam is working right now.
Anybody else having that problem (assuming some of you haven't linked them yet)?
I can confirm that having

open in a tab on your browser will allow you to connect not only to the game itself, but also to some servers. My authentication is checking out, my login name is up and the game is basically working again.

Single player worked for me yesterday after the DDoS started, and it never kicked me out.
