I was just trying to complete the steam achievements for blockland so I changed my name for one of them. Right when I changed my name, I got the acheivement but my name was stolen right away. I was like wth, how did somebody take my name already?!? i feel violated...

Simple. You tried to use a name someone else is currently using.
You'll have to pick a different name you think no one else would be using.

I had the name at first and then I changed it. That's when it was stolen. I did not change it to the name I wanted first.

Not criticising you, but Hybrid isn't an overly creative name, so It's not unlikely for you and someone else to come up with the name at the same time.

Unfortunately you just got very unlucky and someone decided to use the name Hybrid while you were changed to something else.

Sadly you'll either have to wait for it to become free, but that may take a while, or you'll have to choose another name.
