"Hey, so uh, what's your name and why are we going over there?."

"The names Derrel Lark". "You can call me Derrel". "We're going there because it seems the guards over here are too pusillanimous individual to kill a monster".

"Hi Derrel, I'm Jack Golem. Now, how are we expected to kill this monster?"

He sighs and looks up at you.
"Listen, I wish everything was fine so that we could give you a car, or some vehicles, or whatever, but we're spread thin enough as it is. That's all I can do..."
He hesitates for a few seconds before continuing.
"There are a few rusty old bikes in a storage shed outside. Just bring them back in one piece, okay?"
I walk out with directions to the shed. "Pick a bike." I say, going to the shed. I choose the lesser of the rusty old bikes, and add a rusty old small wagon extension to it. "Everyone, group here." I say, in a doctory(lol) tone, "Since this one is going to be the hardest to pull, we switch every 45 minutes. Make sure that you don't have cuts, we don't have the means to heal you from rust poisoning."

I take out the silencer rifle. "I will take this." I say, experimenting with it and getting a feel. I sling it over my back. "Who wants to have the bino's and who wants the map?" I add in, "We need to go now."

"Hey, so uh, what's your name and why are we going over there?."
"My name is Dr. Franc, we are going to kill a Homo virulentus, or what you call monsters." I look around for sharp objects. "forget it." I run back inside and take my backpack back. I put it into the wagon.

"The names Derrel Lark". "We're going there because it seems the guards over here are too pusillanimous individual to kill a monster".
I toss Derrel the binoculars. "I guess you like looking because you are looking like a..." I pause, "Whatever."

"Who can read?"

I catch the binoculars and hold on to them "Thanks".  I go grab a bike from the shed.

"Everyone put their 'i can't ride a bike with this' stuff in the wagon. I will take the first shift." I get onto the bike, and honk on the horn. "Homo virulentus choo choo train, all aboard."

To stay lightweighted I put my backpack in the wagon

"Sweet, a silenced rifle. I can probably read the map, I was good at being lookout and escaping some particularly hazardous situations." I let out a small smirk and tighten my bag "This one isn't gonna leave me."

"Okay, guys with good legs and good-ish bikes go about half a mile in front of the guy with the gun, me." I correct myself, "The guy with the binos and the guy with the map go half a mile ahead. They scout out where we are supposed to go and stop or come back if a turn is needed to be made. I stay here with the other dudes and protect our supply.

I add a magazine to the rifle, making sure the safety is on.

"Alright". "Dude with map, lets go".

"Sure, just let me get the hang of this thing. Maybe we can fix them up along the way or something, heh" I fumble around on the bike until I get my balance and check the map
"A gas station along this route, what's it called again?"

"Alright, two scouts, two defenders."

"Also, if you spot places with food and water on the way, come back. See Homo virulentus, come back, see an exit to the place we need to go, stay there until we come. Get mauled by bandits, come back."

"When you spot the rest stop, come back and we move as a group. We can try to get food there, too."

"Is it on Exit 83 and its a rest shop". "Dont know the name however".

"Exit 83... Rest shop... Looks like we just have to go straight. There seems to be some smudges along the way, can't really make them out. Looks like we'll just wait and see."

(OOC: Zombi should have some good situations for us, or should I just name some random stores?)

After about 3 and a half hours of relatively peaceful riding, you start to approach the rest stop.

(The blue is the rest stop, and the red is the direction you're approaching from.)
The rest stop is surrounded by shallow forests on all sides. From this distance (~4 miles) you can't see anything peculiar about the rest stop with the naked eye.
