No, he was saying what if we got a 75% off deal now. A 75% off deal now would make the game worth $2.50, and he was speculating that there would be a massive influx of alts.

Actually, I'm fairly sure that vendors set the prices of their products. Meaning it's Badspot's move to change the price on Amazon.
