Major lag for people joining my server?

So whenever anyone joins my server, they say they have horrible/ unplayable lag. I know it's not an issue with my internet, as I am able to join servers with minimal to no lag. Any help, on decreasing the lag would be appreciated.

if you are hosting local that is the problem

your internet cant handle people connecting to it but it can handle you connecting to other peoples server

sometimes when i tried hosting, players on my server would get lag if my cpu or ram usage got too high
don't know if this applies to you though

clarification: host a server, have people join, when they lag, shut the server down and then post your console.log
