Author Topic: is this a good PC?  (Read 3003 times)

I cant build my own pc if I have no idea how. I need site urls
you need to buy all the parts separately, then assemble them all at home.
here is a list of parts i compiled.

I dont know. I really dont wont to build my own cos im affraid I might forget it up. Any suggestions on pre built pc? Im sure I could assemble the pc but I wouldnt be good at picking parts.

I'm sorry but with prebuilts you really are destroying the value of the PC you could have.

First of all, before we can make a part list for this new custom PC, we need some specifics. More specific than "Can run Battlefield 4". Any monkey computer can run it, its just whether it will go faster than 1FPS. So first, how fast do you want it and at what graphics level? If you want the highest premium settings at full speed, you'll have to dish out more for the GPU than your other parts. (other than maybe the CPU)

Ninja edit:

First point five, whats your monitor's max resolution?

Second, quality over bang/buck? This will determine AMD/ATI over Intel/Nvidia.

Third, do you want USB 3.0?

Fourth, is the quietness of the PC important? How important?

if you have any other desktop from which you are able to salvage parts from (such as storage (hard drives, ssd's), or the optical drive (where the discs go in)), or you have a spare copy of windows lying around, you could save money on that and spend on other parts to make it better

the highest settings on nearly any game. Basically I want it to kick ass. Usb 2.0 willmbe fine and it can be as loud as it wants. My monitor res is like 1024 wide by 700 something. But I am planning on getting a bigger one

why that case
why that hard drive there isn't any ssd

What resolution do you plan on acquiring? 1080p? If so, that makes this a lot cheaper.

you wont be able to max out on 1000 dollars. probably medium-high but not max
but then again it depends on the games you'll be playing
oh if your monitor resolution is that low youll have an easier time cranking up the settings though

why a 4440
better than any fx processor

why that case
looks decent, is cheap

why that hard drive there isn't any ssd
monday you high

monday you high
an ssd is worth it.

forget no. The haf 912s better then that
better than any fx processor
we're not comparing amd to intel.

USB 2.0 is not fine.

if you have the money
i generally start to include ssd's in 1500+ builds

The haf 912s better then that
yeah, true. bit more expensive and if op is willing to spend an extra few dozen bucks then yea

we're not comparing amd to intel.
i was trying to get at least a GTX 770 :'S

USB 2.0 is not fine.
what would you even use 3.0 for

I have another 1tb hdd but this is my build if op wants to use it.
I recommend the one I sent, though not this

fx cpu's are very gross, steer away from them. you'll be way better off with one great hard drive rather than 1 slower than average, really small ssd paired up with a meh hard drive. like all you'd be able to do on it is just install os and maybe one or 2 games before space starts to run out
i heard from some people than 64gb is really pushing it and is just causes stuffload of problems

not for me?
I get like 500mbs a second read. The only issue is installing games to a custom path and thats a small annoyance
I chose FX because I was on a tight budget, like I said, I don't reccomend it since he has a higher budget
