Keep in mind the number of objects Blockland uses. lower-end computers would lag with shaders.
He didn't remove maps because of lag, he removed them because they were slowing down updates by a lot. If he were to reintroduce maps, it wont be the same system. Even then, there's no need to bring them back, we have bricks.

Don't listen to xr-7, he has absolutely no idea what he's talking about. The reason why terrain was removed was not because they were laggy or would become laggy with the addition of shaders, that's completely wrong wtf

The reason stuff like that doesn't happen sooner is because unintelligent or "uninformed" people have mouths.
