| Client-sided Chat Censor |

Someone made a post about Blockland Forums on this website called SiteJabber where a parent said their in-game chat censor wasn't working, along with some other complaints they had. After reading this I came up with the idea that someone make a client-sided censor chat mod, where you put in the words to be censored (like in e-tard filter) and those words get censored with asterisks like the normal chat censor. If anyone can make this or it has already been made, you know what do do! |

It's in the game by default. It's turned on by default. The game would be stuff if it had a censor that worked perfectly. The only way you can even prevent people from saying what they want is to have premade messages. I've seen games try real hard. Having only whitelisted words even allows the community to come up with their own slang to say things you don't want to, but you can't remove those words because there's nothing wrong with the actual meaning of it. So suck it up, they're just loving words. |

I'm saying it would censor the letters if they're in the order, so like if you said forgetwaffles and one of the words in the filter was forget it would only say ****waffles. EDIT This also isnt directed towards older users, it is mainly for children who's parents dont like them to see these things. I don't have a problem with the words. It would be better for joining servers and people using words like monday which isnt blocked by chat censor, i think. |
