Author Topic: Is the Mac Port supposed to be laggy?  (Read 687 times)

For some reason I get incredible lag when I play on large servers that have tens of thousands of bricks. Even with everything set to minimum, I still get terrible lag (10-15 fps) despite the fact that my computer isn't the worst out there.

In comparison I can pull a steady 25-60 FPS in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and a good 50-90 FPS in Day of Defeat: Source.

Any ideas on why this occurs?

CSGO and DoDS don't render 20000 items onscreen at one time

ps: your computer does actually suck. try turning your draw distance down

I honestly would've thought it would be different since the game uses a pre-2004 engine while CSGO is a modern game.
Whatever.

your computer actually, like, really sucks
plus cs:go runs on the old source engine

Try spawning 20k items on CSGO.
