SWAT One:
But what about...
4th dimensional bricks?!?!

our engine supports shaders
it's not torque game engine. it's a modified torque game engine
like if you modify your car's engine, it could be able to reach 110mph instead of 100. but then it would be stupid to say that your car's engine can't reach 110mph

A 4D object in a 3D space being displayed on a 2D screen.
LeetZero:
I have made some stud bricks to see how they'd look in-game. The problem is that it wouldn't be possible due to the way bricks are rendered. To begin with, the brick looks terrible with the studs because the side textures don't continue on top and wether I don't put textures on the stud, or put side textures, they look bad and stand out badly. Additionally there are problems on how does the shaders render the shadows from the studs, the shadows rendered on studs by studs is just bad given the small area.
It wouldn't necessarily be hard to implement for someone like Port or MARBLE (bannedanyway), and not to speak about the lag, as it can vary on the build, but the only reason you'd think the bricks look better with studs is because you think there are no side textures, or that no one uses shaders (because they do look better with no shaders though) like I have made it in that picture. However that's a Far Cry from the truth.

Better yet, a 5d object passing through the 4th dimension in which we exist, represented as a plane, interpreted as a 3d simulation on a 2d screen.
In other words spontaneous combustion, swamp gas and the loch ness monster all in blockland.
Idk I need to go to bed now.
