... obviously it isn't 100% functional. That's why the server name has "ALPHA" in it.
It has no correlation to the movies/books other than the arena events. There are no spoilers and you don't need any background lore to play.

By functional I meant working like Hunger Games should. I know that is vague but you should be able to understand.
By evented I mean, does it use brick events? (Eww). Or is it a coded GameMode? (Awww ya).
The question is: Is this a high quality server? Present and/or in the future?

The dueling weapons work very poorly for this. Fights last for 5+ minutes and it get pretty boring when you're spectating.

It's a scripted gamemode. If you want to see if it's quality just join the server. We're hosting now.

Yeah, the long fights are a little annoying, but they aren't 5 minutes unless someone is running. You can kill someone in 30 seconds to 2 minutes or so, depending on how armed you both are.
There's no better solution, Heed_Medieval is the next best alternative and it's awful. We don't only have duel weapons though. We have some customly made things.
